Ah results downloads, it’s supposed to be a simple job of downloading the data file (basedata), importing it to the software and Bob’s your Uncle!
No, it’s not. If there is something wrong with the basedata or the software it’s being imported into, it’s a nightmare that goes on and on. You may have seen my blog from Monday (http://bit.ly/CG0Qk), it was very simple job with the BTEC data. Not today however, after a day of telephone calls to various agencies; a lot of waiting around and re-doing the download several times, I have still not managed to import the file properly.
Tomorrow, I will start the process of trying to resolve the download and import again by telephoning Edexcel to try and get the basedata by email direct to me. Wish me luck!
